THE MACC SCHOLARSHIP

Besides the many NTU-level scholarships, NTU MACC offers its own.
Name of Scholarship	Wong Wai Ling Scholarship
Funding Source	Donated in 2010 by Wong Hing Long Technologies Pte Ltd
Objective	To recognize outstanding students with strong passion in understanding contemporary China issue and have achieved outstanding performance in the Master of Arts in Contemporary China (MACC) programme thereby encouraging more Singaporean students to pursue the programme
Amount & Duration	The scholarship provides funding of full-time tuition fee for the entire programme (one year) and is subject to review every semester.  One scholarship to be offered in each calendar year
Eligibility	Open to all full-time NTU-MACC students who are Singaporean commencing the programme from August 2010.  To apply for the scholarship, students need to complete their first semester of study and be accepted for the dissertation track. No bond is under the terms of the scholarship.  Scholars may not accept financial awards from other sources.
Selection Criteria	Applicants shall be assessed based on their academic performance obtained in the first semester of the study.  Applicants must also demonstrate positive class performance, exemplary character, strong passion in understanding contemporary China issues, enthusiasm in promoting and enhancing the MACC programme

ASEAN POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

The University will be awarding a number of ASEAN Postgraduate Scholarships to candidates from ASEAN countries (except Singapore) who are admitted to a designated full-time Masters degree programme by coursework at this University.

A Selection Committee to be appointed by the President shall recommend awards to the President, who shall be empowered to award the scholarships on behalf of the Academic Board.

Only nationals of a member country of ASEAN, except Singapore, shall be eligible for the scholarships.  Recipients of other scholarships or awards, however, shall not be eligible to apply for the scholarships.

Singapore citizens and Singapore Permanent residents shall not be eligible to apply.
There shall be no bond attached to the scholarship.

ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIPS

Objective
NTU has established the Nanyang Alumni Fund which is part of the NTU 21st Century Fund. The objective of the Fund is to provide scholarships such as the 'Alumni Scholarship' to alumni and undergraduates who are children or siblings of the University's alumni. Alumni can apply for the scholarship in relation to any full-time graduate programme conducted by the University. The Alumni Scholarship is administered by the Alumni Affairs Office, Nanyang Technological University.

Terms and Conditions
Tenure of Award
Each scholarship shall be tenable only for the academic year in which it is awarded. The scholarship may be withdrawn at any time, if in the opinion of the Selection Committee, the progress or behaviour of the scholar has not been satisfactory.

Value of Award
The value of the award shall be S$3,000 per annum.

Wavier
The President may, at his discretion, waive any of these provisions.

(a) Applications for the Alumni Scholarship for Graduate Studies (Coursework /Research) is only applicable to Alumni of NTU (Alumni of NTU refer to graduates from NTU/NTI/Nantah/ NIE).
