Full-Time          minimum 2 semester, maximum 4 years.
Part-Time         minimum 3 semester, maximum 4 years.

There are 2 semesters in an academic year.

The programme requirement leading to the degree of MACC comprises the following requirements:

Students will need to choose either Dissertation track or Coursework track.

Dissertation track (click here for Guideline):
8 Courses (inclusive of 3 core courses)
Plus a Dissertation

Coursework track:
10 Courses (Inclusive of 3 core courses and 7 Electives)

Programme Requirements:

  • Students can choose an 8-Courses (3 Core and 5 electives) plus Dissertation track or
  • a 10-Courses (3 Core and 7 electives) without Dissertation track.

Each course counts as 3 AUs, while the Dissertation counts as 6 AUs. A total of 30 AUs is required for graduation.

In addition, all students are required to participate in a "China Immersion" programme (MANDATORY). Exception, upon approval by the Programme Director of MACC, will be made only to students who have extensive prior experience in China. The specially-designed China Immersion component, which will be offered twice a year (May & Dec) and led by staff members of MACC and members from partner institutions in China, consists of visits to major cities, guest lectures and special seminars, meetings with business and political leaders, and visits to state and private enterprises.

To benefit further from NTU's outstanding faculty and resources, students will also have the option to select up to two relevant courses from NTU's other graduate programmes as electives to fulfill their programme requirements. These courses, however, must be approved by both MACC and the NTU School or division concerned.
